Jr. Firefighter Program

Applications are now being accepted for the Jr. Firefighter Program.

At Slatington Volunteer Fire Department, we offer an immersive program for teenagers aged 14-17. This program is designed to prepare all applicants of that age range for the fire service. When applying, no prior experience is needed. This program allows junior firefighters to work alongside our senior firefighters during training, classes, and on a wide variety of emergency calls that we may encounter.

All classes and trainings that are required will be given free of charge to any applicants. This program is specifically designed to prepare Junior Firefighters to become senior firefighters. Once the Junior Firefighter turns 18, as long as they have the proper classes, they will become a Senior Firefighter.

Fill out the form below to get more information on how you can serve your community as a Junior Firefighter.
